Server Merge: Bitcomet 3 to Bitcomet 2

Dear players,

With the launch of recent new activities, a server merger will be carried out to let you better enjoy MWO’s characteristics and team-based combat. Through full preparation and consideration, the merger will follow the rules:

1. Bitcomet 3 would be merged into Bitcomet 2 on Jan 13, 2010. The merge will start at 17:30 on Jan 13, 2010 (PST), which will last about 10 hours. During the merge time both Bitcomet 3 and Bitcomet 2 would not be able to log in. New Bitcomet 2 will start after the merge is finished.

2. Under a single account on both Bitcomet 3 and Bitcomet 2, three highest-level characters will be retained and priority will be on the Bitcomet 2 characters in the case of the same level. To make things easier and clearer for you, we recommend players to delete unwanted characters prior to the server merger.

3. We recommend doing a little clearing-up as a deleted character and all of its items In Mailbox and Warehouse can’t be restored. Accordingly, please move precious items out before the merger.

4. As houses on Bitcomet 3 will not be transferred with characters, the owners can present the pictures of housing interior and characters’ name to GM to get compensation in Property Ownership Certificate and House Moving Tools.

5. In some cases, character first and last names, or guild names will conflict. If that happens, we will attach a “P” to the end of all conflicting character names. If there is a character named “Inglegame” on Bitcomet 3, for example, then it will be “Inglegame-P”. After the merge, we will open a page for these “-P” players to reset their In Game Names.

6. We will hold a Double Exp on Bitcomet 3 for Five and a half days from 0:00 on Jan 8 till the merger on 13th, which aims to make it up to all players on Bitcomet 3 for any inconvenience the merger may cause.

7. Some temporarily disappeared stuff like equipment or money after the merger can be restored by relogging in. If not, please send us a ticket. We’ll solve it as soon as possible. Besides, please contact us timely if you have any confusion related to the merger.
